Pallivasal - A place of an exquisite scenic beauty, Pallivasal is around 8 kms from Munnar and is the venue of the first Hydro-Electric Project in Kerela.

Attukal - located between the panoramic waterfalls and rolling hills, the place is best for trekking and long mountain walks.
Eravikulam National Park - Situated 15 kms from Munnar, the 97 sq. km park is located in
the Devikulam Taluk and remains home to the nilgiri tahr. The Anamudi peak (2695 m) is situated in the southern region of the park.

Pothamedu - Around 6 kms from Munnar, Pothamedu is noted for being one of the major plantation hubs of the city. The place provides an excellent view of coffee, tea and cardamom plantations here. It is also a famous place for trekking and hiking.
